Earlier this year, I updated the covers for my romance series Creatures of Darkness, hoping to attract new readers to the series. The artwork was beautiful, dramatic, vibrant, veritable candy-for-the-eyes, and portrayed elements of each story. I loved them. Still do. However, I actually started to see a decrease in sales, so….
If at first you don’t succeed….
After much deliberation and dithering—and whining, let’s be honest—I made the hard decision to once again rebrand the series. Big girl panties pulled up, I donned my graphic designer hat and went to town creating a whole new set of covers for A WICKED HUNGER, A WICKED NIGHT, & A WICKED DESIRE (see below).
I expected the covers to pretty clearly portray the genre, to hint at the theme, and to grab attention. I think I’ve hit all those nails.
What I didn’t expect was how much I LOVE these new covers!
They’re mysterious, eye-catching, and sexy. And, hell, what more do you really need. LOL!
Will these newest covers help readers decide to pick up my book? We’ll just have to wait and see.
